Frequently asked questions.

How long does therapy session usually last?

The length of a session can vary depending on the specific needs of the client and the nature of the therapeutic work being done. Typically, psychotherapy sessions last between 45 to 60 minutes.

During your initial consultation with your therapist, we will discuss and determine what works best for you. Clients most often begin with meeting once a week and then lessen the frequency of appointments as the presenting symptoms lessen. Ultimately, the length and frequency of the psychotherapy session will be tailored to meet your unique needs.

You can use platforms such as HelloAlma or Headway to confirm your benefits, coverage, and copay information prior to beginning therapy.

What if I don’t have or don’t want to use my insurance?

We understand that not everyone has insurance coverage for therapy and that some individuals prefer to pay out of pocket for their sessions. We are committed to providing accessible and high-quality mental health care to all of our clients. We also offer flexible scheduling options to accommodate your busy schedule and ensure that you can receive the care you need when you need it. The current out of network cost for session is $160 per session.

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that life can be unpredictable and that unforeseen circumstances may arise that require you to cancel your therapy appointment. We have a 24 hour cancellation policy for several reasons. This policy ensures that clients take their therapy sessions seriously and are committed to the therapeutic process. Maintaining a regular therapy schedule, helps to establish a sense of routine and consistency that is important for making progress in therapy. In addition, your therapist continues to work on your case outside of the allotted appointment time. This can include writing detailed notes, treatment plans, researching for resources, and preparing for your unique session needs. This policy is designed to ensure that clients receive the best possible care while also respecting the time and needs of their therapists.
